Atlas Door of Paducah

Commercial Door & Hardware was founded by Jim Conn in the 1980s and is located within one of Paducah’s unique historic buildings. Located on North 8th Street in Paducah, the historic brick factory building once served as a shirt factory, and during WWII, more than 100 employees made uniforms for soldiers.

In the 1980s, Jim discovered that the historic building was going to be torn down due to its deteriorated state. He decided to purchase and renovate the 82,000 square foot building for his company in 1989. Jim started an additional business, Atlas Door of Paducah, and moved both businesses to the renovated building in 1991. As a result, he restored a piece of Paducah’s history, in addition to gaining a space to grow his successful businesses. In 2008, Commercial Door & Hardware expanded into Evansville, Indiana to better accommodate the region’s needs. Bill and Dawn Sanders became the sole owners of both companies in April of 2018.

“We intend to have as much success in the next 20 years as we have had in the last 30 years,” says Bills Sanders.

Over the last 20 years, the Sanders’ and their team have worked to provide exceptional customer service and top-quality architectural doors, frames, and hardware for residential and commercial spaces. The team has more than 150 years of combined experience in the industry, and Bill is one of the select few in Kentucky who holds two of the highest credentials in the industry: AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) & CFDAI (Certified Fire Door Assembly Inspector).

Each of these companies has a unique mission carried out by the Sanders. Commercial Door & Hardware has distributed architectural doors, frames, and hardware for commercial projects locally and across the United States for the last 30 years. Atlas Door of Paducah distributes C.H.I Overhead Doors and LiftMaster Garage Door Openers, and provides service to the local region.

“We pride ourselves on being the area’s best and most affordable garage door company,” says Bill Sanders. “We go above and beyond to ensure our contractors and customers are satisfied with their experience. If they are not, we will make it right. Complete satisfaction is our top goal for every customer. We know that the last job we complete is truly the only job that matters to our customers when they seek a referral for our services. That’s what sets us aside from other companies.”
