Paducah Dermatology

In the process of aging, skin care is essential to the well-being of one’s physical health. Developing healthy skin habits at an early age can make a world of difference in how we feel about ourselves. For residents of Western Kentucky and surrounding areas, Paducah Dermatology meets all necessary skin care needs.

Paducah Dermatology specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. With innovative practices, the team of dermatologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and aestheticians are prepared to treat any skin disorder.

As a Marshall County native, Dr. Halden Ford opened Paducah Dermatology in 2004 to service patients in Paducah. He later expanded to Benton to meet the needs of patients in his home county and its surrounding areas. In 2020, the business opened an office in Martin, Tennessee, to service clients further south.

If a patient is unable to come into the office, the business does have the capability to conduct telehealth visits even though the in-person ability to utilize magnifying lenses, perform biopsies, and use other diagnostic measures is most effective.

Since its expansion, Paducah Dermatology now has two board-certified dermatologists, two nurse practitioners, one physician’s assistant, and many other health assistants. In June 2021, the business welcomed fellowship-trained surgeon Dr. Joseph Blackmon.

Dr. Blackmon offers Mohs surgery for patients in Paducah. This surgery is designed to remove skin cancer with the least invasive measure available. In taking the smallest amount of tissue necessary, he microscopically reviews each specimen to determine when the margins of the excision are clear.

The business also treats both pediatric and adult patients for a variety of skin disorders. The physicians can treat any type of skin disease including eczema, psoriasis, acne, warts, and more.

In the realm of cosmetology, Paducah Dermatology offers Botox, fillers and laser treatments for hair removal, skin tightening, resurfacing, and rejuvenation.

“If you have age spots, Rosacea, freckles, sun damage, acne scars, pigmented lesions, active acne, or want to stimulate the production of collagen for younger looking skin, we have the resources to assist you,” said Deborah Brandon, the practice administrator.

Due to DNA and environmental factors, not all patients respond to medications and treatments the same way. At Paducah Dermatology, it is a priority for the providers to try and adapt the treatment options to fit the needs of all patients.

When each patient steps into the office, they are treated with absolute care and compassion. Paducah Dermatology is open for appointments Monday through Friday for all members of the community.

At the forefront of operations, the business makes it a priority to treat all employees well.

“We try to function as a team which goes far beyond the many benefits we receive as employees of Paducah Dermatology,” Brandon said. “This is our work family.”

The importance of skin care is undeniable, and fostering a good relationship with your skin is key to a positive sense of health. At Paducah Dermatology, it is a guarantee that your needs will be met with the highest quality of care.
