The team of 11 women at LA Miller & Associates is dedicated to helping their clients get through the current economic hardships in new and innovative ways. They helped business clients apply for the Paycheck Protection Program loan to gain financial relief for their employees and catered to the tax needs of each of their clients, some of whom were in emergency states when the tax deadline was pushed back from April to July.
Their sister company, Miller Analytics, has also helped clients develop ideas to adapt to changes in the way companies can do business during this time. In addition, Miller Analytics is helping new businesses launch financially sound. As Sherry says, “We are going to see some industries thrive during this time as people make lemonade out of lemons from what we have been given from the pandemic.”
LA Miller & Associates has innovated their own business by establishing online procedures and digital portals for each client to easily access any financial and tax documents when the pandemic hit full force. This helped the accounting team continue business as normal as possible and communicate with their clients virtually, through phone calls, texts, and video calls, without missing a beat. The office continued to excel in their digital efforts during the pandemic, and today, the payroll department is completely paperless.
“When the pandemic hit, our team had to make quick decisions on what to do. We knew we couldn’t afford to close our doors to our business due to an outbreak or sick employee. Initially, we separated our team members to keep everyone safe in the office, and many of us worked from home.”
Each of the team members at LA Miller & Associates was used to maintaining good communication with each of their clients, but the pandemic made conversations more frequent. Many of the team members spent several hours speaking with clients and helping them get their businesses financially through the hardships the pandemic brought with it.
