The team at CFSB offers traditional banking and loan services, and they also strive to help educate their clients and their communities about financial health and wellbeing. Several individuals at CFSB are Ramsey certified financial coaches and help individuals create financial plans. This may include helping a young couple establish their first budget or teaching a client how to make the best investments to help meet their financial goals.
“We have made a commitment that as long as the pandemic is still impacting the communities we serve, our Ramsey financial coaching services will be completely free,” says Cody Myers, trust officer at CFSB.
To give back to the communities they serve, CFSB provides the Ramsey foundation curriculum to 22 schools in five counties. These materials expose graduating seniors to personal finances and educate students about the financial decisions they will be making throughout life to guide them in the right direction.
“This topic is worth talking about. It’s really important that kids learn how to plan their finances well and how that will transfer to the next generation at some point. It’s an important conversation to have because it’s not just about personal finances but about generations ahead and behind us, too.”
During this time of year, the CFSB team recommend that their clients think about their financial well-being. “It’s the ideal time to consider your overall financial plan. As we all consider resolutions in January, take time to set a budget that will allow you and your family to save for the future,” says Cody. “If we’ve learned anything in during this pandemic, we must plan for tough times.”
