FASD Run, Paducah
This event is meant to bring awareness to fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) and local resources. FASDs are the leading known cause of developmental disabilities worldwide, affecting at least 1 in 20 individuals, making FASD more prevalent than autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and cystic fibrosis
combined. FASD United, the leading national resource on FASD, annually hosts an FASD Run, where participants are encouraged to walk, roll, or run either virtually or in person, creating teams of FASD runners and advocates all over the world. This year, Emily Hargrove Consulting is bringing a Run FASD event here to Paducah to show the city and those affected by FASD that when we partner together, we can work to bring about full inclusion and
mitigate stigma for those with an FASD.
Please note that a previous FASD Run event was submitted; however, due to a conflict in scheduling at Nobel Park, the event had to be rescheduled for September 30.
